Subscription Categories Explained

Individual
Subscription

The Individual Subscription is a single-user subscription and is intended for just that—the individual. There are different types of Individual Subscriptions, based on Academy membership status:

  • Student (needs student Academy login to register)
  • Member (needs Academy member login to register)
  • Non-member (needs CDR login to create subscription OR creates new profile if no CDR login exists)

Individual Subscribers have access to the full content of the eNCPT (Nutrition Care Process explanation & narrative, terminology sheets, and reference sheets).

For pricing, reference the eNCPT Subscription Pricing document.

Organizational
Subscription

The Organizational Subscription is a multi-user subscription and is intended for hospitals/facilities that need permission to use the terminology for use within their facility’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. University libraries also fall within this category.

Organizational Subscribers have access to the full content of the eNCPT (Nutrition Care Process explanation & narrative, terminology sheets, and reference sheets). Organizational Subscribers also have access to a downloadable excel spreadsheet. This excel spreadsheet contains a listing of all the terminology within the eNCPT and abbreviations that IT departments often use to upload or input the terms within their facility’s EHR/EMR system.

Multi-user access is based on the number of purchased “seats” (i.e. maximum anticipated concurrent users). Access to the eNCPT is assessable via (1) a unique URL (based on IP ranges), or (2) unique usernames and passwords. Access is managed by an Administrator of the account (designated at the time of purchase).

For pricing, reference the eNCPT Subscription Pricing document. For Organizational Subscriptions, the pricing is tiered and the price listed is the cost per seat.

Educator
Subscription

The Educator Subscription is a multi-user subscription and is intended for universities who must purchase the eNCPT on behalf of their students. This category was created in particular for universities that collect a $25.00 fee from students prior to the start of class. The following criteria must be met in order to purchase an Educator Subscription:

  • Must have 1 student member number
  • Must register with an email address ending in .edu
  • Must purchase a minimum of 5 seats

If the professor also wants a subscription to the eNCPT, s/he must purchase his/her own Individual Subscription. As subscriptions require unique email addresses, it is highly recommended that the Educator Subscription be purchased and managed by an administrative assistant within the department.

Multi-user access is based on the number of purchased “seats” (i.e. total number of students who need access to eNCPT). Access to the eNCPT is assessable via (1) a unique URL (based on IP ranges), or (2) unique usernames and passwords (recommended). Access is managed by an Administrator of the account (designated at the time of purchase).

For pricing, reference the eNCPT Subscription Pricing document.

Developer
Subscription

The Developer Subscription is a single-user subscription and is intended for software developers that wish to purchase a subscription to the eNCPT with the intentions of creating a derivative product for sale. Developer Subscribers have access to the full content of the eNCPT (Nutrition Care Process explanation & narrative, terminology sheets, and reference sheets). Developer Subscribers also have access to a downloadable excel spreadsheet in order to assist them in developing their software.
